Prospeo is a good email finder for teams that look up contacts one at a time, and a poor fit for bulk list building. Its 98% accuracy figure covers the addresses it returns; the number that decides your list size is the 63% average match rate it publishes on the same page.

Everything below comes from Prospeo's own pricing, data and email finder pages, read on November 6, 2026, plus buyer threads from the last four months.

Is Prospeo any good?

Prospeo finds and verifies work emails, direct dials and mobile numbers from a database of 280M verified profiles. You can search by 28 to 41 filters depending on plan, upload a CSV, use a Chrome extension on LinkedIn and other sites, or call the API. It holds 143M verified email addresses and 125M verified mobile numbers.

It has 40,000 users and 15,000+ companies on its own count, and 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 132 reviews on a claimed profile. Reviews there praise the interface and email accuracy, which matches what the tool is built to do.

The honest limit is scope. Prospeo sells data, not outbound. There is no sequencer, no dialer, no mailbox purchasing, and no waterfall enrichment to cover the contacts its single database misses. CRM sync starts on the $99 Growth plan.

How accurate is Prospeo?

Prospeo publishes 98% data accuracy, and says records pass five verification steps with 300M profiles surviving out of 800M collected records. Its email finder page pairs that with a 63% average match rate.

The two numbers answer different questions. Accuracy asks whether a returned address is correct. Match rate asks how often an address comes back at all. For a list of 1,000 contacts, a 63% match rate means roughly 630 verified emails and 370 contacts you still have to source elsewhere.

Three more numbers from the same pages:

  • 143M verified emails and 125M verified mobiles.
  • A 30% average pickup rate on mobiles, with regional rates from 27% in Asia to 32% in North America.
  • Highest-intent leads refreshed weekly, the broader dataset about every 30 days.

Prospeo also says it does not charge for catch-all addresses or for emails you have already found, which matters if you work the same accounts repeatedly.

Treat vendor-published reviews of the bulk workflow with care. Several of the Prospeo reviews that rank in Google are written by competing data vendors, and they report much lower match rates on large Sales Navigator imports than the 63% figure suggests. None of them publish their raw test data.

How much does Prospeo cost?

PlanMonthlyYearly (per month)CreditsMobile numbers per month
Free$0n/a10010
Starter$49$372,000200
Growth$99$745,000500
Pro$249$18715,0001,500

One credit buys one verified business email. A direct mobile number costs 10 credits, which is why the mobile column looks thin: the $49 plan buys 2,000 emails or 200 mobiles, not both.

Credits reset every billing cycle and do not roll over, so an unused balance is lost at renewal. Extra credits start at 1,000 for $10. Yearly plans grant the full year of credits upfront: Starter delivers 24,000 immediately, Pro delivers 180,000.

Feature gates worth knowing before you pick a tier: Starter has 32 search filters, 6 intent topics and basic integrations. Growth adds 38 filters, HubSpot and Salesforce sync, CRM enrichment, search analytics and job change tracking. Pro adds all 41 filters, 12 intent topics and the highest API rate limits.

What buyers report after three months

The most detailed account in the threads came from a buyer in r/appointmentsetter who spent two years on Apollo, hit 18% bounce rates, tested Clay and ContactOut, then moved to Prospeo. After three months they reported 3-4% bounces and 15 answers from 50 calls in a week. They also called the Chrome extension basic next to Apollo's, missed social enrichment, and said the bill was roughly a third lower. Every comment on that thread was removed, so the case stands without a counterargument.

A separate thread on r/techsales opened with the opposite problem: the buyer could not find detailed reviews anywhere and was burning Apollo credits at about 60% valid emails, with mobiles that were often disconnected or attached to someone who had left. The one visible reply asked about their sender score and said ZoomInfo still leads on data.

The pattern across both: people switch to Prospeo for email accuracy and stay for the price. The complaints are about scope, not correctness.

What are Prospeo alternatives?

Apollo is the obvious one. It carries 240M contacts, claims the same 98% email accuracy, and bundles sequencing, a dialer, email warmup, mailbox purchasing and CRM sync from $49 per seat per month on annual billing. Its Basic plan includes 30,000 credits a year, phones cost 8 credits against Prospeo's 10, and it runs waterfall enrichment across 20+ vendors. What it does not publish is a match rate.

Findymail is the other. It charges $99 a month for one seat on usage-based plans with no credit counting, guarantees a bounce rate under 5% or refunds you, and verifies each email at the moment you request it. Its phone finder requires social profile URLs and does not cover EU contacts.

Prospeo publishes its own comparisons against ZoomInfo, Cognism and Lusha, and none against Apollo. Read any Prospeo review that ends with a pitch for a different data tool as marketing, including the ones from SyncGTM and Sparkle. Sparkle's review still quotes Prospeo at $39 to $369 a month with 75 free credits, which does not match Prospeo's pricing page today.

Who Prospeo suits

  • Worth it: solo founders and SDRs working LinkedIn one profile at a time, at 200 to 2,000 lookups a month, who already pay for a sequencer.
  • Worth it with care: teams that need CRM sync or job change tracking, which start at $99 a month rather than $49.
  • Not worth it: anyone importing thousands of rows from Sales Navigator, or teams that need a second data source when the first one misses.

Prospeo stops at the address. Whether that address lands in an inbox depends on the sending tool, the domains and the copy behind it, and our Smartlead review covers the sequencer side of that stack.

If the list building is the part you would rather not run at all, an outbound marketing agency will handle sourcing, sending and follow-up as one process, with the data cost built into the retainer instead of billed per credit.
